Security Tips
To create/ change your passwords, please follow the tips below:
- Select a password which is difficult to guess.
- Create your password with a combination of numbers, letters and or special characters. Refer to Password Rules below for more details.
- Avoid using dictionary words, common phrases and obvious substitutions such as "@" for "a" and "1" for "i".
- Avoid using repetitive or consecutive digits in your password.
- Do not associate your password with anything personal such as your Login
ID, birth dates, names, phone numbers or other familiar words.

To protect your password, we
strongly recommend that you
- Change your password on a regular basis.
- Never share the password with anyone, or tell anyone about your password.
- To prevent others from reading and using your password, never write it down.
- Check the last logon time-stamp each time when you log on.

Password Rules
Starting from 20 Apr 2025, the primary
and
secondary password must:

Consists of 10 - 28 characters long and include at least 3 of the following 4 types of characters: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters (e.g. "@", "_", "-", "'" and ".").

Previous passwords cannot be reused and system would prompt for password change every 90 days.

System would prompt users to change their passwords during login if the password does not comply with the new requirements.
- Not have more than 50% characters the same
- Not contain a 5-character sub-string of the following keyboard patterns:
- 1234567890
- 0987654321
- qwertyuiop
- poiuytrewq
- asdfghjkl
- lkjhgfdsa
- zxcvbnm
- mnbvcxz
- QWERTYUIOP
- POIUYTREWQ
- ASDFGHJKL
- LKJHGFDSA
- ZXCVBNM
- MNBVCXZ
- Not contain the word "password" nor "PASSWORD"
- Primary password and secondary password should have different values and these passwords should be different from user account number.
